RUGBY FEVER

In just 1 year, Quad Rugby, with coach Judy Berzen, has become one of the Center's most popular sports. Developed for severely injured spinalvictims, Quad Rugby is a full contact sport reouiring skill, power, and stronng and durable specialized wheelchairs. The first ever Rugby league game took place at the end of may, in the presence of UK Friends Chairman Brian Harris and Hon. Secretary Jane Jukes, and some 70 spectators. Harris and Jukes were presented with official Quad Rugby jerseys, recognizing their voluntary work in the UK and their campaign to raise funds for the purchase of 20 rugby wheelchairs.
