Sixty-four countries took part in the 2010 Wheelchair Tennis World Cup, hosted by Turkey.
For the Israeli team, represented by the Beijing silver medalists Shraga Weinberg and Boaz Kramer, the event was particularly challenging, as all games were played on clay
courts, which are uncommon in Israel.
The Israeli team defeated five teams on its way to the Final, but eventually surrendered to the American team, which won the title and
left our players with the silver medal – andhopes for next year’s competition.
