With Recognition and Gratitude to Our Generous Donors

The Israel Sport Center for the Disabled is experiencing one of its most difficult times. More and more new members join the Center and we are committed to providing these children, youngsters and adults with the most comprehensive and advanced rehabilitation service. However, the world is in a financial turmoil and our budget, based on our donors and supporters around the world, is facing major cut backs due to a staggering 30% drop in our annual income.

Especially in these difficult times, we see ourselves obligated and privileged to thank those who step up and reach out. This is why we have recently installed our new wall of honor, right at the entrance to the Center. The wall of honor is our modest way of saying thank to our friends and donors around the world who hear the call for help and find it in their hearts to extend a helping hand.

The wall is made of three types of medals: Gold, Silver and Bronze. The Gold medals are dedicated to donors of 50,000 USD and up, the Silver for donors of 36,000 USD and up and the Bronze for donors of 18,000 USD and up.

We thank all our friends and encourage more and more people to become an active part of the lives of thousands of disabled children in Israel.

ISCD Wheelchair Tennis Duo Wins the French Open

Shraga Weinberg and Boaz Kramer, both lifelong members at the Israel Sport Center for the Disabled have returned from France where the Wheelchair Tennis Roland Garros took place. With three outstanding achievements, this has been a succesful 2012 Olympic run debut for the two and for the Sport Center. In the doubles tournament, the two once again justified their reputation, easing through the final in two sets against Dorrie Timerman of the Netherlands and Andres Haard from Sweden.

In the singles tournament, Shraga Weinberg has not dropped a set in three rounds to win the title. Boaz Kramer defeated world number 10 Juiseppe Polidori and an all Israeli final was only prevented when Timmerman defeated Kramer in the semi final.

Thanks to these results, Kramer will now be advanced to the top 20, while Weinberg will make his debut in the top 5 players in the world.

The Israel Open International Wheelchair Tennis Tournament - Ramat Hasharon

Michael Jeremiasz. ranked 4 in the world, will be one of the participants at the Israel Open 2009. More than 150 players will take part in the tournament, to be held in the Israel Tennis Center in Ramat Hasharon.

This Year, More Than Ever - We Need Your Support!

Due to the global credit crunch and financial turmoil, we are forced to struggle in order to keep our head above the water. This complex situation however should not affect the disabled kids at the center and we do our best to continue and provide them with the comprehensive rehabilitation program they deserve.
